Problems With Recording To Hard Drive

Help!

Trying to convert Cassettes to CD's (Analog to Digital:

-Connected Cassette player to HD (computer).

-Audio (sounds) are coming thru loud speakers.

-Recording part "done"

-When I try playing back the recording, cannot hear play back!

 

Can any one help me?

Go into your Volume Control settings and make sure the Line In is checked.

 

(this is assuming you are connected to the line in on your sound card)

Let's assume that you're doing this correctly and using the LP and Tape Assistant and everthing is connected right.

When you're recording do the meters move?If they do then your input is not muted.

If they don't then there could be 3 things I can think of right off that could be wrong.

The first is what ogdens said and make sure the line in isn't muted.

The next 2 are easy enough to check.Make sure that the Capture From is set to your sound card and the Input is the Line in.

If those 3 are right you should see the meters move.If they do then when you record you should get sound.

Depending on what format you exported them in if you saved them to your hard drive they should play just like any other wav,mp3,etc you already have on your computer.
