Can't Update To 9.0.2



I recently bought the download version of Toast 9. After finding a bug with audio/video sync burning a Tivo show to DVD, I noticed that 9.0.2 supposedly fixed some kind of audio/video sync issue.


So I downloaded the update, but the update asks me for my Product Key. I assume they want the product key I used for the 9.0.1 version that I bought... since I don't have any other. When I type that product key in, the Continue button never becomes enabled. It's apparently a bad product key.


Do I need a new product key? How do I get it?

You should contact Roxio's customer support about this. When I update the registration keys remain and I just continue the setup without needing to enter that info. I think your issue requires direct contact with Roxio.

I just purchased Toast 9 Titanium for my iMac to edit TiVo files. I wish I had read these posts first...what a mistake! I'm used to using a terrific program called VideoRedo (PC video editor) to remove commercials, repair errors, etc. I was hoping to do the same with Toast on my new iMac. There's no comparison! Toast may work for other applications, but it does NOT work as a TiVo file editor unless all you want to do is copy the entire recording including commercials, etc. It's cluncky and cumbersome and not ready for part-time much less prime time! My two cents? If you want to edit TiVo files...don't waste your money.


Luckily Amazon will refund my money and even pay for the return postage. Thanks Amazon!
