The dvd recorder said it was blank....and it would not play on any player.....

it just did not record...

That's not a lot of information to go on. Your lasts posts were in the EMC 9 forum; have you upgraded to EMC 10?

1) What are you trying to burn to the DVD? Could the file be copy protected?

2) What computer do you have?

3) What burner do you have?

4) What discs are you using (brand)?

5) I assume you did not format the disc, correct?

6) When you went to burn, what of the three options did you select?

7) Did you get any error messages?

8) Please provide any other pertinent information; you are not charged by the word.

Try this. When you go to burn, select to create an ISO file. Name it and make sure you know the files location. If it encodes properly, then use VLC (free player) to watch the ISO file on your computer. It it looks OK, then use Creator Classic or VC&C to copy the ISO to a disc.

If you cannot create the ISO file, then there is something wrong in the production itself.
