Question

I am capturing analog video though a USB device. MYdvd LE will only capure the video if it is set to standard play. Is there a way to cature to HQ to improve the video quality? Any other ways to also improve the video quality? Will upgrading the software to the latest creator have any effect?

What is your actual version? You posted in the Creator 2009 forum which is V11. I suspect you have an OEM version of V9???

You cannot set video capture beyond DV AVI (720 X 480 uncompressed) or mpg2 (720 X 480 compressed). The settings in MyDVD have absolutely nothing to do with this.

With the 'unnamed' capture device you may have other choices, but you are asking only half of a question and not supplying enough detail to get a full answer.

What is this capture device?

The capture device is a pinnacle dazzle. The software that came with the dazzledoes not work. So I am using the mydvd LE software that came with my Dell 9100 to capture the video and save it to the computer.
