Have you tried this fix? http://kb.roxio.com/content//kb/General%20...mation/000070GN

Do you perhaps have an old version of iTunes installed?

Also, check device manager for a yellow exclamation point by your CD/DVD drive. There may be a conflict causing the driver to fail on load.

You could also try this procedure:

Reinstall driver

1. Click "Start", in the Start RUN box type "devmgmt.msc" and press "Enter".

2. Expand "DVD/CDROM Drives".

3. Right click the listed DVD/CD-ROM, and click "Uninstall". Please uninstall all devices.

4. Restart the computer.

The drivers will be loaded automatically.

Thanks for your tips.... none of them work

I have the latest update for Itunes.

My computer recognizes my drive

I tried up loading the fix on the link you sent

Still no progress.... The program works on XP but not vista.... It also does not work on my friends Vista computer

If you are not on EMC 9.1 (full version and not an OEM version) then this update might help:

http://www.roxio.com/enu/support/emc9/software_updates.html

And try this article at Microsoft:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060/en-us

I am running EMC 9.1 on two VISTA Home Premium PCs.

You may have to uninstall programs such as iTunes, Cyberlink software and others that want to control the operation of the DVD/CD. Back them off one at a time.
