Importing

Question

Hi,

I recently downloaded Roxio 10 and imported this video which I cut up into chapters. I wanted to upload each section of video to youtube so I save each section individually. Anyway, I returned to this project after a month and I can't access any of them. It tells me it can't find the files...but when I imported from the CD, wasn't that bringing the data onto my computer. Where did the files go?

If anyone knows, it would be so helpful. It took me awhile to import the whole thing onto my computer so I'd hate to have to do it again

cheers,

Nita

I would guess that you did not actually "import" anything. It sounds like you used Videowave (or possibly MyDVD) to "add" files to a project. When you do that, all the project file does is store "notes" about where the source file(s) are and the edits you want made to it.

Try putting in a disc you used as your source, and then open the project you made from it so you can "output" it to a video file.

If the above is not what you did, then post some details of which steps you took and which of the 35+ apps in EMC 10 you are using.

Nita,

Please provide description of steps you did and the application in the Suite that you used. For example, what application did you use to "cut into chapters" and what function in that application did you use? What do you mean by "each section"? Is that a file? What format is it? How did you import the video? What application?
