dvarsam
Hello all. I have the following problem. On a Clean Windows Server 2008 x64, I have installed the following: 1. Windows Operation Manager 2007 x32 2. Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) 3.0 SP1 3. Windows Configuration Manager 2007 x32 I then tried to install a "Roxio Software CD" that came with a new DVD-RW for my brand new Server. I don't know the edition or version of the Roxio CD Software (it is in the Server Room - and I am not there right now), but I assume it must be new since it came with a Server DVD-RW I bought in early August 2008. I first installed a WSUS update from Microsoft. Then I performed a full install of Roxio Software CD and got a popup that Microsoft Media Player 9.0 or higher is missing, but I ignored it & went on with the installation. I was then asked to restart the Server. So I did. Now I can not boot the Server! I get the following Black Screen: Title: Windows Boot Manager Message: Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem: 1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer. 2. Choose your languase settings, and then click "Next." 3. Click "Repair your Computer." If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance. File: \Windows\System32\Drivers\PxHlpa64.sys Status: 0xc0000428 Info: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. ---------------------------------- End of Mesage ----------------------------------------- Whenever I restart the PC from the Windows 2008 x64 CD I am asked to Restore the Windows from Image. The problem is that I don't have a Backup Image! I also performed a Memory Check & Everything is O.K. I tried to Boot to Windows with every combination - i.e.: a. Safe mode b. Safe mode with Network c. Safe mode with Command Line d. Last successful configuration e. Start windows normally I really have tried all available options & I still get the same above Error. The Server seems to not boot at all! Any Ideas on what to do? I appreciate for your help, dvarsam1 at yahoo.com
ogdens
No Full retail version of Roxio is supported in a server environment. You have a OEM version, all support for oem's comes from the provider ie. Computer Co/CD/DVD burner In your case its the DVD/RW provider.....ask them if their software (whatever version they provided) will work with a server.
