Mydvd Transition Between Photos

I just purchased Creator10. I wanted to create a chapter style presentation with only pictures and a song in the background. It seems like MyDVD should be the module I would use. I created 2 chapters and added my pictures to each along with the background songs that I wanted. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that I have any manual control over the transition type or duration for each picture. This option is greyed out and not available. So I tried creating a slide show with my pics and was able to control everything for each pic. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like you are able to import a slideshow into MyDVD.

 

What am I doing wrong, or how can I create a nice chapter driven "movie" with pictures only and have the ability to control my transitions? This can't be this hard.

Try it this way…

 

MyDVD is a Movie Menu interface maker and burner.

 

All editing is done in VideoWave which is a full fledged editor.

Thank you. I will give it a try. The manual and online help just don't seem to make that clear. There are many modules but they just don't explain how they relate to each other or the logical flow between them.

 

So I'm assuming you can use VideoWave for only pictures, manually control the transition, add music, and then import it to MyDVD to finalize a "Movie" production using chapters.

Mostly correct…

 

VW will do pictures and movie clips it doesn't matter.

 

You can "Save" the Project (dmsm) and import that file or multiple files into MyDVD.

 

You can also "Output As" which will convert any Project into a Movie clip.

 

Look through the Tips & Tricks in Both V10 and 2009 – lots of good stuff in there.

 

(if everything were in the manual covering every possible desired use, it would exceed 50 lbs.)
