Mydvd Basic V9 Does Not Take The Format .avi

Nena_Rock

Question

Hello to all!

First of all, sorry for my bad English, I am using an on-line translator.

My question is the following one: MyDVD Basic v9 says that he supports so much of entry as of exit the format .avi, nevertheless, when I want to add a movie in this format goes out for me on the object a red circle crossed by an oblique line of the same color and does not allow me to take it.

He says something of forming the filter, I suppose that there would be that clickear in the window where you are still to choose the video, where he says to Add - to cancel - to form, but I cannot also clickear on forming!!!

HELP!!! HELP!!! HELP!!!

I need happen the .avi to another format to be able to record it to DVD since I see it with the SMPlayer but this program neither records nor turns formats....

From already, thank you very much friends!!!

I think the problem lies w/ what is most likely a "stripped down" version of EMC9 on your pc, which won't let you work w/ those .avi files, period. The way to solve it would be to buy EMC9, EMC10 or Creator 2009 on sale.

It is a version perfectly legal, it is an OEM, which I was already installed when I bought my HP.

Hi there.

No one is saying that an OEM version of Roxio is not legal. It is.

I had a "stripped down" OEM version of Roxio on my HP when I bought it.

What Brendon and I mean by "stripped down" is simply that features which the full, retail program offers (i.e., a program you buy, not which is already installed on your pc) are simply unavailable in OEM programs like yours.

Here is a description of OEM [Original Equipment Mfgr] Versions -

http://kb.roxio.com/content/kb/General%20I...N?set-locale=en

Basicly, the Version you get "free" with a computer or a burner isn't necessarily the same as what you buy in a box at a store.

Nena_Rock,

You obviously haven't read the topic under the link in post #5. You should read it.

Brendon

Gracias Brendon, voy a ver si puedo hacer algo. Primero tengo que traducir... De todas formas, gracias! Pero lamento que el asunto sea complicado, si no puedo procesar el formato .avi mucho no me sirve el programita... :(

Per Google Translator:

Thanks Brendon, I will see if I can do something. I have to translate ... Anyway, thank you! But I regret that the matter is complicated, if I can not process the format. Avi much I did not serve the program.

I'm all out of new suggestions.

Good luck Nena_rock!

Read this, it looks like it addresses your issue. You may need to "upgrade" your Roxio software to work w/ those files.

Perhaps make use, that is to say, I know that it should have tried updating the códecs, have to the program from January in my computer without updating anything! The topic is that I know pages where from to go down códecs (in fact I must have these códecs in some place of my hard disk since the SMPlayer reproduces the movies to me perfectly) but would not be able in what part to locate them so that MyDVD v9 takes them and could work with them.

I am very inexpert in computers! Help! And I will be grateful for it eternally...
