Dvd Copy Clarity From Tivo File

thunderny

Question

I just installed Easy Media Creator 10 suite. I copied a couple of movies from my Tivo to the computer using Tivo Desktop(the latest version). Last night I copied one of the movies to a DVD+R and the clarity is not great. I can still see the movie but it looks worse than say an analog signal.

How can I correct this issue, if it can be corrected?

You didn't provide enough info to even make a wild guess…

Exactly which program of the 35 or so in the Suite did you actually use to get this TiVo file onto a DVD???

What is the playing time of the TiVo file?

I used compile dvds and movies. I pasted the Tivo file move in the video compilation/source area and copied to DVD+R @ 16x speed. The Tivo movie is 1 hour 55 minutes long. My computer I pieced together myself. It has a:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+ 2.4 GHz

2 GB RAM

320 GB HD

Lite-On DVD RW drive

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS Video/Display Adapter

A standard 4.7GB DVD will only hold 60 minutes of video at best quality. Since your movie is almost 2 hours long, obviously the video has to be compressed to fit with a resulting loss of "clarity"
