creator 10. list of "capture from" and "input" in record LP and tape assistant is not displayed. How can I get creator to recognise this device?

Thanks for your message. I'm sorry that I didn't reply earlier but my computer was in the repair shop and then I went on vacation for a few weeks. In answer to your reply my version of creator 10 worked really well until my motherboard crashed and it had to be replaced. It was only when I reinstalled the program, as I also got a new hard drive that this problem surfaced.

1 : After re installation of creator 10 when I use LP and Tape Assistant Screen 1 the "Capture From" Box does not contain a list of audio devices to choose from. The "Input" is also greyed out. This is also the case when I use Easy Audio Capture

2: The Recording Level Box Slider and the set Auto recording level does not work. Recording level can be set by using the volume level on the playback volume control at thebottom of the screen.

3: On a different matter some of the CD's recorded skip on playback. Is there an adjustment I can Make in Roxio that will burn the CD at a slower rate if that is the cause of the problem?

COMPUTER SPECIFICATIONS

Windows XP HOME sevice pack3

Gigabyte S Series GA-M61PME-S2 Motherboard

No other sound cards apart from the one that came with the motherboard.

Windows XP recognises the audio device as a Realtek HD Audio Input, Roxio Does Not.

I am appreciative of any advice that you may be able to give to resolve this problem. Also it is great that you are so community minded that you are prepared to give your knowledge and talent to help those who are not computer literate.

Thanking you in anticipation,

Stefan

Download the latest Realtek drivers here. They are fairly good at keeping the drivers updated for WinXP and Vista.
