Creator 2009 & Emc 11 Content

latavong2008

Question

I just purchased creator 2009 via download and the program installed fine, but when I tried to install EMC11 content I get this error message saying"You must install Roxio Easy Media 10 before installing the content". My question is, does creator 2009 need EMC11 content to work properly? if it doesn't I'm not going to bother trying to install EMC11 content, cuz I don't have Roxio Easy Media 10 to install and if this is needed why didn't roxio tell me before I purchased creator 2009? if EMC11 content works only with Roxio Easy Media 10 what's the point of Creator 2009? wouldn't it make sense for roxio to have applications that works specifically with creator 2009. :angry: :angry: :angry:

There is a Key in Registry that you will have to delete before installing the Content.

The key is specific to the version you have so you will have to search for the right Key.

Creator 2009:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{7A7B3764-7F17-4AB1-A1D3-3B01F5F07445}

Creator 2009 Ultimate:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{09EA3E66-F60C-45EF-9C16-6CA2262E21C4}

Creator 2009 Special Edition:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{69F56014-2C48-4885-8D72-0E069F89647F}

WinOnCD:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{9F8C7AAF-CF7E-4FC9-ADD6-9EAE4304A161}

Print this out so you can make an exact match.

I do not have any of the keys you've listed. BTW, I thought the installation of creator 2009 went fine, but when I went to start it I get a message saying it needs the installation package 'RCPROD.msi' I'm officially pissed and will be asking for a refund.

Hi there,

I bought the 2009 Ultimate download during September, I haven't been able to get full use of it because I am not allowed to install the "content" software. I get the same message as latavong2008. I do have REMC 10 installed on my computer in the default location.

I've tried to edit the Registry by going to the destination listed above, I do not have a Registry Key starting with {09EA....

My Operating System is Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit.

The first file installed with no problems.

Any ideas?

Cheers & thanks,

Well the company Sony had a contract Roxio version 9 and installed automatically version. So I had to stripped the system to the bare bones from its recovery partition and backup all its software. To my external Hard Drive. This is possible of a confliction in the registry or files on the hard drive which causes the system not to load certain programs in Roxio 11

Version 9 287MB before decompression

Companies all makes a mess of things when they self install software from other companies. Just kept it simple

Congratulations on your HND and BSc.

Your native language may be Engish, but from what you have written in these forums it would appear you skipped a few lesson's in English grammar.

The reg key you should be looking in your case should be :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{09EA3E66-F60C-45EF-9C16-6CA2262E21C4}
