Lightscribe Prints Black Discs

I have Roxio 2009 and have attempted to use the Lightscribe label feature in Label Creator. However, the only thing the program prints is a black disc. (not Blank - Black). No lettering or pictures appear.

 

I am at a loss to explain why this would occur and have not found a setting that would alleviate this problem.

 

I have performed a seach, but could not find a thread that addresses this problem. I should mention that both of my drives are HP drives (840 and 1040).

 

Any insight is appreciated.

1. Confirm that you have installed the latest "Lightscribe system software"

2. Update drive firmware from mfg if any

3. When previewing, does it preview fine?
