Photo Projects Assistant

The Ricster

Question

Dear all.

I've tried playing with the projects option on my new software but it asks for the contents cd. I downloaded my version of 2009 and backed it up on disc. I asume the contents required are EMC 11 which automatically installed to the hard drive. If I open the photosuite and then find the file with the open window I can use the content but this is clearly not what the designers intended. After a difficult instal I just want the software to work as intended.

Help me. Thanks.

Hi, Guys. Sorry for the delay, I've been very busy.

I've tryed uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail. It's still asking me for a content "CD". I'm using a laptop which is getting quite old and has limited internal space. I'm beginning to wonder if having all that content sitting idle on the drive for most of the time is a good idea and it might be more practical to have as an optical disk for occasional use. I'm beginning to think that this might even be what Roxio intended for a system like mine but there is some glitch with the drive look up.

Oh well, it's not the end of the world at least the copy and convert feature is top notch. An .mkv option would be nice, though, it's becoming a popular format.

You need to go back and re-read my post of Oct 13.

What do you find?

I have never heard of an mkv extension and had to look it up. You may have it, but it is a very obscure format! Do you know if the other guy is still using it?

Thanks for replying. I'm on xp and EMC 11 is definately listed in add and remove programs. There is not a Roxio 2009 content listed. My saved downloads consist of zipped self-extracting cabinets so I'm not sure how I would go about pulling a single folder out. However the conent all seems to be available on the hard drive via the applications it's just that Project Assistant seems to be looking in the wrong drive.
