Darn, This Stupid Program...

Deadsyhead

Question

 Alright, here the issue. I am try to burn numerous mpg avi and mov files using data disk. But when I burn them only certain ones work and the ones that don't work say "wrong file content! WTF?! Its strange because at one point I could pick an out a whole bunnch of files and they'd play perfectly. So know I gamble between using data disc or My DVD. But wait...theres MORE!. I made 2 dvds using MY Dvd (took forever but I finally got it) when I first got the comp. That worked awsome but now everything I try to use My DVD it stops neear the end and the midlle even though theres plenty of room do burn on. I'm getting frustred because I'm spending way to much MONEY on DVD-Rs when and when you find out that you can't pot your media on them, it kinda upseting. All my memory is great, I have no viruses, and I guard this thing like a hawk if anyone dares use it. LOL So I'm asking for the following help in the following.

How can sommeone tell me how and why these mpg, avi, and mov files that sometime don't burn.....BURN?!? And thats using Data disk which work 60% of the time, you know when you make a dvd you don't want just bits and pieces of it. At first I thought it was the files I was using but I've had plenty of avi's, mpg's, and MOV. files that burned perfectly, so I don't kmow what to do or what can I do. I know all my drivers and sound cards are up to date so I can figure it out. And this "RoxxAnn" robot lady doesn't help for crap and just tell me the same answer evertime...*sigh*

On another note, I thought My DVD burner will work hopefully a litle better except for the dragging burn preocess the burn-time using hat takes for forver and at the end of the it says somthing about not enough space or something, when I know a to but convert them they chop it up into little pieces making it almost pointless to watch.

Is there a setting on the program that I have to change so that I can record them?

The roxann lady also said something about a codec, what the hell is that? She said avi or mpgs of mov. file need a different code for the burner...I have no clue in hell what she was talking about.

Can someone help me with this.....PLEASE!!!!

What do you mean by "using data disc"? Are you trying to create a video DVD that you can play on stand-alone DVD player? Simply copying the video files to a disc (a data disc) does not create a video DVD that will play on a DVD player. Maybe some of the mpg or avi may play on some players but most will not. Creating a video DVD using myDVD is the only way to create a DVD and that will take time.

If you explained your problem to the "Roxann lady" like you did here, she propably had "no clue in hell what you were talking about". If you stop ranting and explain exactly what you are doing perhaps someone might help you.

In some parts of your rant I don't think anybodu can figure out what you are complaining about.
