How Do I Access The Cd Spin Doctor Menu In Toast So I Can Set Up Internet Audio Recording?

HB_Dad

Question

How do I access the CD Spin Doctor Menu in Toast so I can set up Internet Audio recording?

Support only offers the following:

ID Number: 000064T

Products:

Toast 9 Titanium

Issue

How to record streaming audio from the internet with Toast 9.

Resolution

Before you can start capturing streaming audio, you must first install Audio Capture Support. Follow the instructions below:

a. Launch CD Spin Doctor.

b. Click on CD Spin Doctor menu and select Install Audio Capture Support.

c. Follow the on-screen instruction to install.

However, the "CD Spin Doctor Menu" described in "b" doesn't seem to exist!!! When I launch CD SPin Doctor, I only get a "CD Spin Doctor: New Project" Window with only options to create a new project, open an existing project, or quit!!! HELP!!!

Where/How do I access this mythical menu?

Never mind!! I finally figured out what they meant!

For others that may be confused, the "CD Spin Doctor Menu" is not a Menu screen with clickable options as one would assume. What they mean to say is that after you start CD Spin Doctor, and the "CD Spin Doctor: New Project" window appears, the Mac's top menu bar adds pull-down menu functionality for CD SPin Doctor so long as you are in the SPin Doctor scene and didn't click anything else such as the desktop. If you go to the "CD Spin Doctor" selection on the Mac's Menu bar at the top of the screen, you can select "Install Audio Capture Support" which installs the needed plug-ins to get Internet Audio streaming to work. Roxio should clarify this info so other people aren't scratching their heads. Keep in mind I am a Mac guy and use Macs daily at home and work.

Now, they just need to make the SOund Editor portion of the CD Spin Doctor more like the SOund Editor of Easy CD Creator 5/6. It really sucks to have to define the tracks within the recordings. On the Easy CD Creator version, you simply delete the excess and save the whole scene as the Track which is much easier to work with!! I guess I'll get used to it...
