Does your disc show any visible physical alteration when examined after a 'burn' ??

What does the software show about a 'burned' disc when you reinsert it in the drive and go from the Roxio Home screen to Tools > Disc Information?

How are you checking the disc to look for its contents after a 'burn' ??

Physical alteration visible. Two shades visible.

Strange - Windows Explorer indicates iso file on the hard drive is 651MB but Roxio tools disc info shows burned disc on the DVD drive as 4,482MB. Windows Explorer shows no files present on disc.

Many past projects after iso burn just reinsert into DVD drive or DVD player plays fine. This particular iso file however does not play.

Have to suspect the ISO file then. Have you tried burning it with ImgBurn (free) from here? It's a simple and very reliable utility, and will soon tell you if the ISO's okay.

4482 MB is the max capacity of a single-layer DVD. Interesting that it's saying it's right on the size limit. What is the ISO, or what was it made with?

Just as a stab in the dark - did you open the iso with Disc Copier or did you simply burn the .iso itself onto the disc?

A .iso file is a single file and not accessible directly - think of it as a zero compression archive that needs to be opened before burning.

I that isn't the case, open the .iso file on your hard drive with either isobuster or cdroller. The trial versions will let you see what is inside the .iso and let you know if it's corrupted or not

Burn Image to Disc program of Roxio 10 says successful burn of 650MB iso file but, there is no image on the disc. I have to burners and made sure the correct drive was being burned to. After 3 attempts still no image. The iso file is 650MB as per Windows Explorer.

Sounds like you may have problem with your ISO file like others mentioned.

We had problem burning ISO image (Windows XP embedded files) using EMC Gold 10. We had used older version of EMC and they worked. Tech support was useless. We tried 10.1 patch, it didnt work. Reinstalled 2 machines, used the custom option on install, but confusing options dont explain that Gold loads automatically, but the Creator Classic is an option to load.

Then one of us saw the Creator Classic program that was already installed from default (I had kept clicking on 10 Gold), used that and it worked!

So bug for some ISO's using Gold 10.0, 10.1, that is fixed by using Creator Classic program from the Program>Roxio option. The creator classic must use different burning engine.

Good luck.

Thanks for your help. That program did not work either. That is, burned successfully and Windows Explorer indicates 4+ MB of "something". No files on disc though.

are you sure it's an ISO for DVD? Did you try to burn the ISO to CD? How was the ISO created?

I think OP's issue is different from your since he couldn't even burn the ISO with a different program.

You are contradicting in what you are saying - If there is a problem with .ISO itself, how is it a bug? Besides are you experiencing the issue identical to the OP which you have not clarified in your post as well as this one.
