Photoshow Is Unable To Find A Connected Dvd Or Cd Burner.

Question

The PhotoShow Deluxe is version 5.0.4 Build 84

I have Vista Ultimate SP1 with 2 internal DVD/RW drives and 1 external DVD/RW drive and I get this error.

PhotoShow is unable to find a connected DVD or CD burner.

If you have an external DVD or CD burner drive, please check the connections

and press rescan.

First I tried disconnecting the external and reconnecting no good.

So I looked it up online and found this document entitled Resolving General Burning Issues

http://kb.roxio.com/content/kb/General%20I...mation/000008GN

I followed all the directions on all the steps still get the error.

I burned a test disk on all three drives using Nero 9 and Windows write to CD so the drives work.

Nero 9 was installed after the error and after the steps in the above document. So Nero did not cause the error.

The PC also has a duelcore AMD 4600 processor, 6 gig of RAM and two 400 gig hard drives.

Hi, When I got that error message, after closing and reopening the program, I was able to burn the dvd. Don't know if that works for you, but that is what worked for me.
