How Can I Trim Text Duration?

dal668

Question

Hi all, newbie user here. Can anyone tell me how I can shorten the length of time that the text appears on my photo slideshow? I put it together in Videowave, I've got all my pics loaded, my duration time of each pic is fine, my background music is loaded, everything has come together nicely . . . all for the text title I have added at the beginning of my show, it won't end when I want it to. It lingers and even shows shows up over my first picture. How to I make the text end where I want it to so that it doesn't bleed over into my next frame? Thanks for your help.

If you used a color slide for your text in the first slide in the production, just highlight it and then click on the little Icon that looks like a pair of sissors and that will bring up a screen where you can change the time for that slide or change all the slides to a particular time you want. You can also "Edit" the text in the slide by right clicking on it and then click on "EDIT"--TEXT". That screen will have other options you can use as well.

You must change into Timeline view.

You will see it on the Text track and the "ends" of it are movable which set its' Start and Finish.

That controls both When it occurs and the duration.

I this example, it starts less than 1 second into the first picture panel and runs into the 3rd picture panel. By adjusting the ends I can make it start and end when I want.

Put the text on the internal track of your "text panel". That way it will always stay with that panel ifen if you move it or insert another one in fron of it. The text will also not "bleed" into other panels.

You can adjust the duration of the text as described in the other posts.
