Problem Burning Project

I am having major issues with Creator 2009. Just purchased, finally got it installed and created a project. Using MyDVD it recognizes both drives, but when i select the Burner drive is says the "drive is empty"

 

I know the burner works beacuse I just burnt a CD thru iTunes...I used a TDK CD-R 52X 700MB

 

I have tried different DVD's

 

Verbatim 4.7GB 16X DVD-R

Maxwell 4.7GB DRTR 16X DVD-R

Sony 4.7GB DVD+R

Verbatim 4.7GB 16X DVD+R

 

 

Have two drives.

 

1) TSSTcorp DVD-ROM TS-H352C

2) HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GWA4164B

 

I have even disabled the DVD-ROM drive

 

Is there a problem with Creator 2009?

Burning a CD is proof of nothing… Well it does prove that the CD part of the burner is working.

 

In the 2009 Home app, Tool – Get Disc Information, what does it have to say about your burner? What does it say when you put in a blank DVD?

 

It does sound a typical XP/Vista problem and this might do the trick.

In addition to what Jim said, have you burned an .iso image w/ MyDVD (no disc burning), and then attempted to thereafter burn that image using Creator Classic?

Additionally,

 

1. Are you able to read any DVD media (DVD movies etc) in the recorder drive in question?

2. Update the firmware from mfg (if any)

3. Try cleaning the recorder with lens cleaner

4. Try deleing/uninstalling the recorder drive from Device Manager, reboot and let it re-detect.
