Freezes After Previewing Movie

Hello all,

 

I've been having the same issue with Popcorn 3: Whenever I preview the movie (under OPTIONS, then pressing the play button), the screen goes gray and then says I must shut down. For a lack of better description, a gray semi-transparent "curtain" comes on the screen and then says I must restart.

 

This has happened with each movie that I've tried to preview before burning to DVD so that I've learned now not to preview it. With folders that don't have the movie name, it is hard to determine which movie I'm burning without the preview available.

 

Anyone else have this problem or a solution? This is with a MacBook Pro, mid-2008 version.

Toast has the same problem. My guess is this appeared after a Mac OS update. You can use iDVD to preview your movie. If it is a VIDEO_TS folder then select it using the Open DVD media... option in the File menu. You may need to press the space bar for the menu to appear. Choose the Actual Size view mode so the picture doesn't take up the whole screen In the Window menu you'll want to show the Controller and possibly Chapters. This should provide you the means to find whatever you're looking for on the DVD to help select those parts in Popcorn.
