After Editing Problems

ubiediting

Question

Hallo to Fellow Members,

Although a video file DV AVI captured from a Sony Handycam HC40E plays video and sound correctly on the Timeline in REMC 9 before editing, after editing it does not. Sound breaks up or mutes, video clips cannot be trimmed on the timeline but can in Video Trimmer Tool and when trying to drag a clip to another position on the timeline it seems to misplace itself.

I would be grateful for advice from Fellow Members and Thanks. ubiediting.

Is the EMC 9 a program that came on your computer or did you purchase it separately -- the full EMC 9. I ask because that program is two versions behind. If it is the full version, perhaps it was a bad install.

Did you try updating the drivers for the video and audio chips from the manufacture (here)? Are you working with a clean and defragged hard drive?

Hallo sknis,

In answer to you it is the full EMC9 and I have installed, then reinstalled. I already have the latest drivers from the Medion site for Audio /Video and this morning I used disc cleanup/defrag.,although the defrag tool said I did not need to defrag, however, after, the editing on the timeline for a couple of hours was much better, but then the same problems began to repeat. Do I need to defrag after a couple of hours? I did'nt think so!

Thank you very much for your ideas and any more would be welcome.
