JamesT
Roxio Creator 2009 I just bought this today. So I did the install and "Create DVD - Advanced" came up with an error and exited me, there are other parts of the program not working also. I then used the instructions to start with a 'fresh' install and it still errors out on me. Error: AppName: videowave11.exe AppVer: 10.0.6.84 ModName: unknown ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0000b7a4 What now? No offense, but this is the worst program I have ever installed on a computer, and I have been doing this since the early '80's. gi7omy
Details, details - especially your computer specs - CPU, Speed, RAM, OS and most important your graphics So far all you have said is your car won't run - but forgot to tell us what make it is, never mind what model
JamesT
I had a few more problems after unistalling the codec's. I completely uninstalled WMP11, everything associated with it, of course there were a few "restarts" in the middle. Then I reinstalled a fresh version of WMP11. It appears like Roxio is running fine through all aspects and WMP11 is running fine. I am going to try to produce a DVD that I have had on my camera since 7/4/08 and this should tell me the story. As for "details" I kind of had a feeling is was a software conflict and it is hard to list every software that might have conflicted. I hope this thread helps others. JamesT
Details, details - especially your computer specs - CPU, Speed, RAM, OS and most important your graphics So far all you have said is your car won't run - but forgot to tell us what make it is, never mind what model I found the problem(s). I thought about it last night, while I was sleeping. I uninstalled AceMega Codec Pack, uninstalled Roxio, went back through the "fresh install" instructions and then reinstalled Roxio. It seems to be working now. I am going to try to create something. Thanks for the help
JamesT
Okay, I made a DVD and everything seems to work just fine. What I am not saying is that I watched the DVD, the menu, operation and small previews I watched seem to work fine. I refuse to watch the movie because it is from my wife recording our grandson's birth. I had three childern that I watched being born, I do not care to see anymore births, especially coming out of my daughter. Thanks to all. I am sure I will have some questions about producing, once I have a video I will watch .
gi7omy
Glad you got it sorted - some of the freebie 'mega' codec packs do strange things Feel free to drop in with questions but don't firget to add a few details (makes life a lot simpler )
ggrussell
Although some people swear by those open source codec paks, I almost always have trouble with them. If I need a specific codec, then I only download that one and not one of the 'paks'. Thanks for letting us know install went fine and keep us informed if the apps are working too. Question
JamesT
Roxio Creator 2009
I just bought this today.
So I did the install and "Create DVD - Advanced" came up with an error and exited me, there are other parts of the program not working also. I then used the instructions to start with a 'fresh' install and it still errors out on me.
Error:
AppName: videowave11.exe AppVer: 10.0.6.84 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0000b7a4
What now?
No offense, but this is the worst program I have ever installed on a computer, and I have been doing this since the early '80's.
TIA
