The movie is an avi. I was using the toast 9 and had it on dvd-video. It says file is unformatted and cannot be exported.

I drag it into the space and it sits there, but there is no button showing to record.

I don't understand why Toast would say anything about the video being exported when using the DVD-video setting in the Video window. There is no export option. Also, the tern "unformatted" doesn't make sense to me. What language version of Toast are you using?

Please describe what settings you are using in Toast and exactly what the Toast message is. I'm not familiar with a message that a movie isn't formatted. What format is the source movie?

Where did you download it from? If it has DRM protection, it cannot be burned to a disc except by the program that you used to download the file.
