Rejects Cd!

Roj

Question

After Formatting and Adding Files to the CD, when I try to Finish, Roxio ejects my CD and asks for me to add a writable CD.

I have used up 5 CDs trying to Finish the CD.

I have called Dell Support and spent 4 hours to no avail!!!!

Hmmm.... I might be wrong but it seemed to me that the first thing that it would do to a blank CD is to format it when you tried to Add Files to it. Anyway, pardon my lack of expertise here but is EMC 10 what I am calling Roxio 10?

Roxio EMC 10 = Roxio Easy Media Creator 10. Drag to Disc (packet writing software) was dropped from this version.

If you are formatting blank CDs, then you are using a different version of Roxio, InCD from Nero, or Vista's native writing software.

Yes you are wrong, at least partly… The only way that you can format a CD is with a packet writer. – Since V9 was the last version that contained a packet writer, it made your post questionable

Then what you are wanting to do is use Session writing. Guessing you are using Creator Classic?

When you burn the first disc you must set it for session writing by clearing the Read Only checkmark after you click the Burn button.

For all subsequent writes to that disc, you have to import the previous sessions before you can write or it will dig in its' heels and demand a blank disc!
