Mpeg-2 Activation

RassRob

Question

Hello, I bought the download Roxio Creator 2009 Ultimate yesterday. It took a long time to download and install so I only gave it a quick try yesterday, Registered fine once I worked out which part of the huge long key on the email you sent me was required, you gave no help at all on this, just trial and error with different parts of this number.

CDkey / Unlock Code: Creator 2009 Ultimate --nn-nnnnn-nnnnn-nnnnn--Sonicfire--Lnnnnnnnn--Soundsoap--nn-nnnn-nnnn-nnnn-nnnn-nnnn-j

The part in green is the only part I have been asked for, should the other parts have been entered somewhere? Because I have not been asked for them.

First thing I tried was a mini video for my phone. The editor was good, but no output file because I got the message that is mentioned a lot in this forum.

"The following codec(s) must be activated before using the application. MPEG-2"

I went to bed thinking it was just a simple thing to do this morning.

When I click OK to activate I get.

"No permission - Bad installation" With just an OK box, after that I can go ahead and make a WMV version of the output file, which isn't why I bought this software, I could already do that with the free Windows Movie Maker.

I also found that I can not reload projects by the way. Because 'Open saved projects' lists the extension '.roxio' but video and picture projects have the extension '.dmss' which do not seem to be reloadable anywhere that I can see.

Anyway, I have followed the instructions I found in this forum, even though others said they didn't work. They were right, they didn't work for me either.

Currently all I really want to do right now is get my money back, I can not afford to throw £60 away. The only reason I bought this was because I thought that with professional software I would be safe to spend the money. But it is not a product fit for purpose, it doesn't do what it says it does and there seems to be a lot of time between the fault first appearing and now, with no solution. Perhaps most users just decide to use the WMV output files and give up on the other parts of your program.

So here in this thread can you finally put this fault to bed and tell us all a definite guaranteed solution, or tell us how we apply to get our money back.

Doubtful that it will, since the OP hasn't been back to the forums in almost a year and a half. And, all of the necessary codecs, to run Creator 2009, are included with the software.

Edit your post, and get rid of those serial numbers.

This is a users forum, and not Roxio Tech Support. We are users, like you, so the software isn't ours.

Roxio has a 30 day, money back, guarantee, if you purchased from them, directly. You need to contact Customer Service.
