Install Issue: Entry Point Not Found?

Hi,

 

Running XP SP2. I tried several times to install Creator 2009 and I keep getting this error during "Installing Microsoft .Net v3.5":

 

"ngen.exe entry point not found

 

The procedure entry point CorGetSvc could not be located in the dynamic link library mscoree.dll"

 

I click OK and then the install quits. I've tried searching this forum without luck.

If you have dotNET 3.5 and especially SP1 for that - uninstall both and retry the installation

 

For some strange reason, 3.5 SP1 removed a necessary dll file

Daithi, the OP is running XP not Vista so Vista SP1 is not a concern here

Hey guys,

 

Thank you for the quick replies. I tried to delete the dotNET 3.5, but that didn't do the trick. I found a portion of McAfee that was still running, shut it down, and then reinstalled....success!
