Video Card Problem

wendys

Question

I have had emc9 and didn't have any problems till recent. In the middle of my project my computer shut down. When it restarted I was unable to get back into MyDVD. I uninstalled and reinstalled. No help. I uninstalled again. I purchased Creater 2009. The only part the does not work is Videowave and MyDVD. I receive the error that their insufficient graphics capabilites for this applcation to run. This may be caused by video card driver may not support dx9.0, update driver (tried that) or video card hardware may not be sufficient to run dx9.0, update card.

Any suggestions before I buy a new card or what video card should I buy?

For a start, please list you system specs especially video card similar to what I and others have in their signature.

I'd recommend you fit a dedicated graphics card to your computer - that onboard chipset isn't capable of the work required in rendering

You don't need a top-range one (any mid-range ATI or nVidia card will do). You have an Asus P5LP-LE motherboard and that has a slot for PCIe 16x graphics

I'd also recommend doubling up your RAM to 2 GB
