Torelia
Hello everybody, Please do not get discouraged by the "angry Smiley". It just means : "Oh no, not again!" Toast 9, upgraded to 9.0.4, contains extras, among which DiskCatalogMaker RE. When I try to open CatalogMaker a window opens saying: "DCM RE requires Toast 8. Please open software and register product". Because of earlier, muddled situations with Toast, I have already taken the precaution to register Toast 9 at least 3 times in different ways. I do still have Toast 8 (also registered) on my computer, but this seems extravagant. What should I do now? Why a request to re-register an already registered product? (both v8 and v9 appear on my Roxio account) Should I import the DiskCatalogMaker 8 into the Toast 9 applications file?? Also seems extravagant. Is Roxio's motto "Why make things simple when you can make them complicated"". I suspect somebody else has run into the same problem, but I cannot find any message with this content when using the forum "Search". Would be very grateful for any help, if possible explained in simple language since I am no computer-language specialist. Thanks a lot, in advance! tsantee
I just tested on my two Macs and didn't have this issue. Is the version you're trying to launch 4.2.4?
Torelia
I just tested on my two Macs and didn't have this issue. Is the version you're trying to launch 4.2.4? Hello - Thanks for reacting: The Toast version I am using is 9.0.4 (253) for Intel iMac, updated on Nov 9. My system is OSX 10.4.11, and up to date. My system is OSX 10.4.11, and up to date. Best regards Torelia I meant the version of DiscCatalogMaker that's in the Toast folder. It, of course, will be the same as my version because it is part of the Toast 9.0.4 bundle of apps, but I just wanted to check. You might go to your User>Library>Preferences folder and trash the com.mac.fujisoft.DiskCatalogMaker.plist file and relaunch DiskCatalogMaker to see if that makes any differences. Also, try launching DiskCatalogMaker from the Extras menu in Toast.

The .plist file removal apparently worked! Unless you are a magician on top of being a guru... Now the software launches without any strange requests. Thanks a lot.
