M2ts/m2t Hd (1920x1080) With Dd5.1

I don't know if this is the correct area to post this in.. If not my apologies.

 

I have allready purchased this copy and am still in my 30 day return time frame.

 

I have some M2TS video files in the 1980x1080 format that includes DD 5.1 Lossless audio. (Bitrate on some files is VBR, and up to 30mbps)

 

I want to convert these files to either HD MPG-4, HD Mpg-2, or WMV-HD and maintain full 1980x1080 resolution and maintain DD 5.1. Although doesnt' have to be lossless.

 

My TiVo S3/HD/HD-XL is capable of playing HD DD5.1 MPG-4 (1920x1080), OR HD DD5.1 MPG2 (1920x1080) files.

 

The Xbox 360 is capable of playing WMV-HD with DD5.1 as well.

 

Is Roxio Creator 2009 capable of doing this conversion. IF so How?

Sorry Creator 2009 does not support surround sound. C2009 can do the video conversion, but the sound will be converted to 2 channel stereo.

 

 

Thanks for your help... Thats just crazy! DD5.1 has been around now for almost 15 years. Even before HD was a wet dream! Find it hard to beleive that it has such limited support for DD5.1.

 

What I have found though is it does have limted DD5.1. IF I were to rip a regular DVD and convert to SD MPG-2/MPG-4 it does maintain DD 5.1

 

If your able too. Do you know of any program that is capable of doing what I would like to do?

Probably a licensing issue. Plus most home video camcorders are only stereo anyway. I have a new hidef camcorder and it's only stereo.
