How Good The Photo Component In 2009?

Ripperfreak

Question

I am intending to buy Roxio Photosuite 8 or 9 for my Photo editing needs.

To those who already using Roxio Creator 2009 of which it says has this Photo editor component , can someone tell me if this is comparable to the standalone Photosuite?

I intend to use it not in a professional way just the basic stuff ie, add text to the picture, colour fix, cloning ,etc. just as Photo suite's capability. If it does then another reason to upgrade to this new version.

And also, I am most interested in the component "RENAME and MOVE audio file" Is this component still embedded within "AUDIO CONVERTER" as in EMC10? Does it use GRACENOTE plug in for audio look ups too like EMC10?

I specifically love the set up of "RENAME and MOVE audio file" in EMC9 that's why I keep EMC9 on my drive with Roxio Creator Premier (pre-installed with my DELL PC) having EMC10 also on the shelf. I find a bit easier to use this component in EMC9 than the later versions EMC10 and Roxio Creator premier where you have to manually find the target folder where the RENAMED file will be stored or rewrite the old file with the named one.

I need this two infos for me to decide if I have to Upgrade to 2009.

Thanks in advance.

Peter

That, and more than likely, the seller is selling it, illegally.

Might be, considering the downloadable price in Roxio's website eh. Now you are injecting a guilt on my concience now Grandpa!

Not unless an early Christmas give away due to Credit crunch :D

I I tell you there are hundreds of happy bunny who bought it. If an eBay seller said GENUINE then it should be as he will be contravining the law.

Kicked out of eBay and will be prosecuted by Roxio for piracy/copyright infringements. I think gone are the days of software KEY Generators.

Anyway, not to delve on that HUGE savings banning the morals. I am glad that Roxio incorporate Photosuite in the RC2009 package.

I used it before version 5 I think on my old XP machine.

I certainly get this 2009 just for this PHOTOSUITE reason as i can gather most of the functionality are the same as the EMC10.

Thanks all!

In Media Creator 2009 (and as I recollect in EMC 10 as well), you can use the Audio converter to rename or move files. Add the files, (edit tags if necessary, this does use Gracenotes), click convert. A window opens in which you can select format (select the same format if you don't want to convert to a different one), then you can also select the folder/file name structure and destination folder, thus getting the move and rename functionalities (there is also an option to keep or not the originals). I don't know if the dropdown box for filename has the same options as in EMC 9 move or rename, but it has quite a few.

In Media Creator 2009 you can open Audio converter either from Roxio home/music- Audio/, batch convert and transfer, or by making a shortcut to

"C:\Program Files\Roxio Creator 2009 Ultimate\AudioCore\RxAudioConvert11.exe"

Something similar for EMC 10.

The seller is contravening the law, if he doesn't have permission from Roxio, to sell it. I have a feeling that he is a software pirate and making money on it.

We don't know what is in the box at a Costco in GB… Could be different than US stores, let us know.

Looking around for a good deal and found one in eBay UK @ £19.50 genuine Licence, download version or £21.50 plus £1.50 delivery on physical disc. Check it out! Feed Backs seems okay.

I will get this one @ eBay it looks a good deal considering Photosuite 8 by itself cost me around £12.50 at eBay too. A bit extra and i get the RC 2009.
