MYDVD8 Primier Version and Menu Buttons

akash.singh@tstt.net.tt

Question

Roxio Folks,

I like many purchased the Primier version of MYDVD8 with the expectation that it is fully functional. This is not so as can be seen in many posts on these forums. I cannot add an unlinked button to any of the prepared Menu templates. Your website states (for MYDVD8 Primier) that I should have "Complete control over DVD menus & submenu customization, including background, text, buttons and layouts". Why is this function disabled?

I only purchsed this software over others because I thought it was fully functional. Nothing on your website indicates that it is any less. Please do either fix this in your marketing or in your software. Either way is fair for your users.

MyDVD8 is not a "Roxio" product. You will have to go to the Sonic site for Tech Support.

The comments you see here are regarding Roxio's MyDVD V8 which while similar in name is a completely different program. – Used to be called DVD Builder in V6 & V7 but somebody in marketing got cute in V8…

Hey new user. This isn't Roxio. You need to direct your comments to them. This is a users forum, and we don't work for Roxio.

James, MyDV8 Premier is being marketed as being a Roxio product and the OP has a legitimate complaint which of couse should be directed directly to Roxio.

Hey Grandpabruce,

Forgive me for my ignorance. This user forum is hosted by "Roxio - a division of sonic" (top left this page) and is in the "roxio.com support" (top right this page). MYDVD8 Primier is sold here http://www.roxio.com/en/products/mydvd/index.jhtml 9as stated before). Who exaclty is selling this software and where is their support forum.

Do direct me where to post my comments? Have you tried the digital assitant? Did it help you - it does not even have MY DVD 8.

Regards

A.S.

To hopefully clarify what Bruce said, this forum is a Roxio sponsored User forum for users to help each other and exchange ideas, not a way to contact Roxio or Sonic, or receive any form of technical support. Occasionally, but rarely, will someone from Roxio actually reply to posts here.

There is no Technical Support Forum. To Contact Roxio Tech support, Customer Service, etc, use the information found on this page.

Who's software is it? Even tho it is labeled under the Roxio name, I guess you could say it is both Sonic and Roxio's, since Roxio is a division of Sonic now. So if you prefer, you could try Sonic's contact page.

What part of I am not Roxio don't you understand? You really don't want me to tell you where to direct your comments.

Larry,

Thank you for the reply. It is clear now. It still does not make it right for the software to be marketed in a Roxio webpage (yes roxio webpage). Thanks again.

Granpabruce,

In an attempt to stay civil I'll limit my reply. You sir should learn a bit of manners.
