Question

Hi,

I am using Toast 9 to burn an .avi movie to watch on my 16:9 tv. I can watch the video fine on my Macbook Pro, but after burning, when I put in the DVD to watch on my TV, the video is not centered and halfway off of my TV screen. Any ideas how to fix this?

If it looks right played on the Mac but not on the TV then my first guess is to try a different brand of DVD media. Also, if you used DVD+R try DVD-R or vice versa. It's reasonably possible that this a disc problem rather than a Toast problem.

Something else to try is to choose Save as Disc Image in Toast rather than clicking the burn button and then burning the disc image to disc using the Image File setting in the Copy window. You can create a disc image from the already-burned DVD by clicking Save as Disc Image after selecting the DVD in the Copy window.
