Says 100% Complete, But Dvd Is Blank

im very new to burning dvd's so bear with me. im adding all the files to the dvd burn page, it goes through the whole process of burning the dvd (which takes forever) and when it says it is 100% complete i cant open my dvd drive (it says, drive busy try back later) when i am finally able to eject the dvd they are always blank. do video files have to be in a certain format to burn to a dvd? what am i doing wrong? hopefully this is easily fixed

It would help if you were to tell us what kind of DVD you are trying to create: a data DVD or a video DVD you can play in a stand-alone DVD player. The two processes are completely different. What application from the program are you using?

im trying a video dvd, and using the quick dvd with my dvd express
