Unable To Add Audio To My Video

I am not able to add audio to a video with some small video clips and pictures. I followed the following directions:

 

To add an audio clip to an item:

Select the item to which you want to add the audio clip.

In the Add Content area, click Add background audio.

The Add background audio dialog is displayed.

 

Select the audio clip, and then click Open.

The Insert background audio dialog box appears.

 

Select Add on internal music track of the selected panel, and then click OK.

Click Done to return to Edit Production mode.

 

 

The video plays and sometimes said the audio has been added, but it does not play.

You just need to give some additional information. What Roxio program are you using ? Is this in the "Videowave program ?
