I am fortunate enough to own two Macs, a Macbook and a Macbook Pro. I can record streamed audio, along with the distortion problems , (which Roxio has known about for some time and has not yet fixed, even though they have released v9.0.4), on my Macbook, but not on my Macbook Pro.
In my case the problem seems to be identifiable. Despite many attempts, include re-installs of the complete software, attempts at installing the "capture support" software, re-starts etc . It comes down to this, the "capture support" software installs into the "Sound" System preferences, both into the Output and Input sections, into my Macbook and the machine then works. It will NOT install into the Input section of the Macbook Pro machine so this machine will not work.
Both Macs are running v 10.5.5 so it's not a system problem. So what is it?
