Avcdh Video Preview

Is the preview in Toast 9.0.4 of avchd supposed to be real-time? When I use the media browser and try "editing" a clip, then select the play button, video plays for about 2 seconds, then stops - meanwhile, the audio continues. This is on a 2.4ghz macbook pro with 2gig memory, nothing else running, plenty of hard drive space. The avchd files are being read via a usb 2.0 sdhc card reader (class 5 card).

 

Is the video preview supported for avchd? I am able to preview the same clips in Final Cut Express 4.0 without issue.

I am having the same problem, but in 9.0.5. I have a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook, running 10.4.11. Since this thread was from last year and was from 9.0.4, should I assume that I'm out of luck and there is no real-time playback past 2 seconds from when you hit play in the file?

Is this using the Quicklook in the Media Browser or is it using the Toast Video Player? What are the specs of the avchd video?
