Runtime Error

MocMan

Question

Help!

History: I have used MyDVD previously to the newer EMC10, and am familiar with basic production of DVD's, not without issue however. I was using Windows XP and have since bought a new computer using Vista.

I have a full version of EMC10 running Windows Vista. After editing video file and saving in MyDVD, attempted burning. Two hours later I get several messages:

Runtime Error.

Program ... ran Files(x86)/Roxio/Media Import 10/Media Capture 10.exe

RoxMedia DB10 Module stopped working and was closed.

I followed Clean Install Instructions for Creator 9 & 10 on Windows Vista, reinstalled, and two hours later received same messages.

Thanks,

MocMan

The error message you are getting says you are trying to capture video

Did you use Videowave to edit your video and save as a dmmsm project file and then launch myDVD and add the dmsm file as your movie? That is the precedure you should be using to edit video and then burn.

What is the source of you video?

PLease give a more detailed description of what you are doing.

"capture video", that doesn't make sense, not that I am questioning your expertice, just that it was received well after that process. As explained, I am not a novice at using this program successfully (I use that term rather loosely) for over 3 years. I have uploaded DV Video via firewire to Video Wave for editing, then added to MyDVD for further refinements prior to attempting to burn from MyDVD. During the final stages of the burn process, it stops, or I stop it because it virtually has already. That is when I see the error message.

O.K. I do see the capture video error message. Not exactly sure when that one came up. What about the other two messages?
