gi7omy
Actually practically ALL Roxiop apps need to be run as administrator - trying to run them as a restricted user usually fails
tiedyeguy
Hey- I got this response from Roxio Support. It did not fix it for me, but it may for someone else. I'll post my solution once I do get mine solved. > from Roxio Support: 1. Click on the start button select control panel, then system and maintenace, then system. 2. Click on the Advanced system settings. 3. Under performance click on settings. 4. Click on the tab called Data Execution Prevention. 5. Click on Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select. 6. Click on the Add button and paste the following filename, then press enter or click Open. C:\Program Files\Roxio Creator 2009\VideoUI 11\VideoWave11.exe 7. Click OK and accept any system messages. 8. Restart your computer.

nicholasglen
I have the same problem when I select a folder. I need to burn folders as I usually do some editing (remove user prohibitions, add audio tracks, etc), but it failed with a standard DVD created with MyDVD. I finally just download imgburn, which is free or you can donate $2 to the author. Imgburn allows you to burn 12 ways to Tuesday(folders, images, etc), and works great. My experience roxio does the pretty stuff well (movie editing, DVD menus, and so on), but struggles with the stuff that should always work. If you find a solution pls. post. nicholasglen
Hello, I have resolved the issue on my computer, although I can't explain exactly why. I created a DVD in myDVD using a movie of only about 30-40MB. I saved it to a folder, then brought it up in videoconvert. It came up fine. If I then selected another folder (same session), of any size, it then brought it up and worked. If I closed Videoconvert and reopened and tried the second file, instead of doing the small one worst it did not respond and I was forced to close. My desire really with Roxio is to do better error catching, which is just good software development, and is not difficult to implement. My guess here is it hs to do with responding to windows(I am using Vista, not 64 BIT). so to fix: 1) create a DVD that is really small. Open it (you don't have to process it). 2) Then open the one you really want and burn or put into iso file.
nicholasglen
follow-up: thinking hard drive I stopped the Superfetch service, deleted files in winows/superfetch then restarted service. no more problems with big or small files:)
tiedyeguy
I believe that I am getting the same error. When I am in Video Copy & Convert under DVD Video Copy, if I try to select Browse for Disc Image/DVD-Video Folder, the program closes with an error sound. There are no indications in the Windows event logs. If I try to reproduce the error often enough, occasionally the Visual Studio Just-In_time Debugger opens listing the error message "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in VideoConvert11.exe[2016]." I have uninstalled and re-installed Creator 2009 but get the same results. I just bought this upgrade specifically to burn DVDs from a VIDEO_TS folder so I am pretty frustrated. Any suggestions are appreciated.
