Erratic Track Identification In Car Cd Player

hemsby

Question

My car CD player works perfectly with pre recorded CDs but has an inconsistant problem identifying the start of tracks on CDs produced on Roxio Creator 2009.

The recorded CDs play fine on my home players

I have tried changing the track seperation time from 0 to 10 seconds in 2 second increments without any success also using different make blanks

I had no problems previously using Roxio CD creator 9.0 DE that came supplied with my computer!!!!!!!!

Suggestions Please

What brand/type of media (CDs) are you using? What application in Creator 2009 is being used to create them?

Have tried several different makes of CD. Using CD-R for use in the car. I use the Create Music Disc Projects for the final burn.

I normaly have the burn rate set on auto but on the advice of Roxio today I set it at a low rate of 4x but this made no difference.

Have been creating CDs & DVDs for a number of years with various software and this is the first time I have had this kind of problem

Thanks for your interest.

Hi Frank

Tried your suggestion with same results.

I seem to have cured the problem I purchased some Verbatim disks which for some unknown reason work ok. :)

Still not sure why I had no problems in the past with other software using other make disks, but Verbatim work with the Roxio 2009 and thats all that matters.

Thank you

Keith

It's more down to the very erratic quality of certain brands. Despite the labels, they don't actually make them but outsource around the world and the actual quality of Brand X may be good in one batch and absolutely terrible in the next.

You've probably just been lucky with the other software in that that you had a half decent batch of discs ;)
