Is It Safe To Use Registry Cleaners With Roxio 2009

I have discovered that once I got Roxio Creator 2009 to function if I used RegCure to clean the registry then many of my apps in creator no longer functioned. I'd like to know if others have had similar problem with this registry cleaner or other.

I use JV16 Powertools and I don't have a problem with EMC 9 verses Creator 2009. Your registry cleaner has probably removed a critical entry. You'll have to either replace the entry or do a clean installation. Did you backup your registry before you did the execute as recommended by Regcure?

In addition to what Dave said, Make sure that when you use any registry cleaner, you have it ignore any Roxio and Sonic entries.

Thanks guys... With a bit more looking around I found this: There are some instances when registry keys associated with installed programs are detected as errors when in fact they are valid entries. This is because the keys do not meet RegCure's criteria for being passed as valid. For example, empty registry keys can still be in use by applications that are not active at the time of the scan. If you remove these entries the program that uses these keys can be affected and can perform erratically.

I haven't been able to duplicate the problem with Creator 2009, even though I hammered the registry and tried very hard.
