Where are all the sccenes?

Question

Hi,

I need your help.

First the good news: I am able to capture/import a video (Capture Video) from my DV camcorder.

Now the bad news: but then when I select 'Create or edit project' and that I choose 'Add new movie' I only get the full movie. :)

I want to see all the different scenes in order to be able to edit my project.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong!!! :D

What is the best, easiest way to do that?

Thank you. :D

No not really doing anything wrong. Just not doing it correctly. Adding scenes works the same as it did in the previous version of EMC - in the Media Selector.

Open Videowave

Instead of ADD VIDEO, go under TOOLS and click on SHOW MEDIA SELECTOR. Yep, they look exactly the same. I really don't know why there is a difference, but you can select the detected scenes from this dialog box.

Thank you very for this more than useful tip. :D

Two more questions:

- SCENES: I am surprised that the time of recording is not shown/available once the capture done.

I have checked under properties but nothing.

- CHAPTERS: I can add chapters by using 'Edit chapters' but I find it very slow/long to do.

Is there a different way to add chapters?

It would be very good to be able to add chapters like you add transitions. :)

The timestamp on video tape is transferred to your captured avi file but EMC has nop option to show this data. You will have to get a third-party program to be able to see the date/time.

Here is a link to the utility I use to insert the date/time on my video. It only works with avi files.
