I'm trying to make a music mix in EMC9 sound editor. I've edited each clip separately and now I want to merge them by layering. That way while one song is fading out the next is fading in. Well, when I do that the volume of the 1st track decreases significantly with each layer. I'm obviously not an audio guy, so is there a way to keep the original volume of the 1st track as I mix in new layers? I've tried the "adjust layer weight" slider and it 'helps' but does not get me where I want to be...volume-wise.
I'm sure there must be a way and it is simply elusive for me.
