Mydvd Still Crashes

mitchr

Question

Still looking for any suggestions as to how to fix my computer from crashing while trying to run EMC 10, more specifically the MyDVD part.

Everything else in the program works fine, I've even edited some videos with Video Wave. Fo some reason though I just can't get the MyDVD program to run. It hangs, then shows me the blue screen error.

I've tried new drivers, old drivers. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've used DC Pro about 12 times, I've adjusted my nVIDIA settings within the EMC 10 program.

For the most part, I usually end up with a "nv4_disp" error.

I've contacted both EVGA and NVIDIA support and they haven't been all that much help.

If anyone has come across this problem and could help me out...I will give you my soul.

It could be your video card is on its way out.

You haven't been able to get rid of that error, which is an NVidia error. It may be time to upgrade to a new card, but I would put in a new power supply, also.

Try this, first. Update your Direct X, here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en

Then try again. If you have never updated the Direct X, then that could cause a problem, too.

Download it, to a folder on your hard drive, then make sure that you don't have any programs running, or the Internet, click on the file, and have it extract the files, to the folder that you made. Click on the setup file, and once it is done installing, you can delete the files, if you want.
