Transfering Mini Dvd's To Dvd's

I am trying to transfer some of my Mini DVD's to regular DVD's. I tried to use copy and convert function and make a Video Compilation but the video came out without sound. I tried video capture between the Mini DVD and the computer and the aspect came out 3:4 instead of 9:16. What am I doing wrong?

The Mini DVD's sounds work in the Camcorder w/ sound. I beleave there may be a switch or checked box somewhere that is preventing the sound being included in the video compilation. Do you know of any such switch?

Can you play the miniDVDs on your computer system? Do you get sound?

If you copy the Video_TS folder from the miniDVD to your hard drive, you should be able to use WMP to play the vob file.

Luck. I got it to work. I transfered the whole VIDEO_TS directory from each of the Mini DVD to my computer. In the completation window then I verified under languages that the "All" box was checked for each of the movies. I then made the DVD and it worked.

 

It seams making the video from cashed files does not work completely.

 

My next hurtle is to get a menu at the begining of the DVD I can pick to go to the various movies or sections.

Have youtrie djust coping the mini DVD files to your computer somewhere first and then changing them to a regular DVd ?

It appears that your mini's are not finalized.

 

Put them back into the camcorder and Finalize or Close them.

 

Then VCC should work or as Frank suggested.

I believe the Mini DVD are finalized. I can play them on my DVD players.

 

The Files do play with sound in the Video Compilation Window before they are placed on DVD. They do not show up as files on the Mini-DVD so I cannot transfer them to my PC. Any other suggestions? Is there some switch or box I need to check?

 

Is there a step by step listing somewhere I can get that will tell me exactly how to transfer the Mini DVD to Regular DVD?

Whoa!!! What do you mean they don't show up as files??? They have to!

 

Just recheck the Finalizing.

I am sorry I misspoke I can see the files they have the .VOB extention. On one disk they are VTS_01_1.VOB and VTS_01_.VOB. Are these the files I need to copy over to my computer?

 

How do I get the sound on the DVD I create?

IMHO if they don't work from the disc, copying the same file set to the HD is not going to do squat…

 

Check the discs in the camcorder.
