Vhs To Dvd Convertor Help

hello all i need help i bought roxio creator 2009 yesterday and there was an added item convert vhs to dvd software . i have installed the roxio 2009 creator and installed the software for video to dvd creator and i cant get it work i have followed the instructions and when i try to convert it tells me that it cant find an input signal . ive tried everything i can think of . i need help anyone please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How are you feeding the output of the VCR to the computer?

thanks for the reply i have the video conected to the computer unfortunatly my old video does not have an output button so i have had to conect the leads via scart i dont know if this is why the computer wont find it , saying that my son hooks his x box up using this method

It sounds as if you have a simple SCART that only works one direction.

 

I don't know about where you are, but I purchased a SCART to RCA adaptor locally and it has a switch on it for sig out/sig in
