Sound Tracks Not Showing Up In The Editing Window?

When you use a DVD template it comes with sound however the soundtrack doesn't show up when you go to edit it. I wanted to extend the song as it only played 8 sec's when I wanted it to play 20 (I think I figured out how to do that- which was ridiculously difficult and not intuitive). I then lost the song from the template somehow and I could not find it since nothing in the software holds the song info. When you pick a song out of Soundwave it doesnt show up as an editable track when you go to edit the menu? Also, when I picked a song from the Soundwave tool and lost it I cant seem to go back in and find it as it doesnt retain the history?

Read/watch this. It is for EMC 9 but it should work the same in Creator 2009.
