Error 1500 - Another Installation Is In Progress

Producer2

Question

Easy Media Creator 10 is installed on Microsoft Windows XP SP2.

Problem: Unable to install Critical Update.

Update downloads A-Okay.

From the "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for NLEXnet Connect Windows Agent"

Error window pops up as follows:

Error 1500. Another installation is in progress. You must

complete that installation before continuing this one.

I've tried the update immediately after rebooting System.

Still no luck.

Otherwise Easy media Creator 10 is functioning just fine.

If EMC 10 is functioning just fine then why update?

That's a standard Windows Installer message when another app hasn't completed installation - not looking over your shoulder, I can't say what it would be

Have you attempted any other installs or updates?

I installed Easy Media Creator 10 today. I did not notice this before, Each time I open Easy Media Creator 10, another window also opens, hidden behind the application. It's "Windows Installer". It say's....

The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available.

Insert the "Napster Burn Engine" disk and click OK.

Use Source: 1

Napster is installed on my system included with Microsoft Media Player.

I searched and found this under "C:Program Files\Common Files\Roxie Shared\BurnPlugin"

Otherwise I do not have a disk with "Napster Burn Engine"

Maybe I have something going on. Look at my reply to "gi7omy"

This is a problem I haven't seen for a long time

The cure back then was to go to the napster site, download and install the latest version and then uninstall it - that should clear the Napster problem

Napster used to be Roxio and was bundled with EMC7 if memory serves

If all goes well, then re-install Napster
