Missing .dll

motohead

Question

After repeated attemps to get all the Applications to work in Roxio Creator 2009 Special Edition - with clean installs - I still cannot get the "Drag and Drop" thing to work on my Vista 64 system. The error shows as "The CPSCommonTools10.dll cannot be found". I have looked for it in

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared\10.0\DLLShared and it is not there. A download is nowhere to be found on the web.

Is there any on out there that could extract and send me a copy of this file please??

What they mean is that you can drag and drop a file or files onto the window and then convert it (them)...

Motohead.

Since you don't have EMC 10, it's safe to say that the file Syncit actually wants is CPSCommonTools11.dll. It could be that the entries in the registry are wrong. I suggest that you search the registry for instances of CPSCommonTools10.dll and wherever you find one replace the path and file name to point to CPSCommonTools11.dll

Click start, run, type regedit.

In the registry editor window that opens, edit menu, click find. Type CPSCommonTools10.dll in the box, make sure all three boxes keys, values, data are checked., click Find next. That will bring up the first instance. To find the next one press F3.

If the instance found is in the data column, right click on the value, click modify, make the changes, click OK.

The last three versions of Roxio are Roxio Easy Media Creator version 9, Roxio Easy Media Creator version 10, Roxio Creator 2009 that is the current version. Now what version or versions do you have installed?

Vista has it's own version of packet writing (drag and drop) called Vista Live File.

If you mean older versions of Roxio with Drag to Disc, D2D ( UDF Packet writing software) it was dropped after Version 9.

Your "The CPSCommonTools10.dll cannot be found" is a Roxio EMC Version 10 error, see this post.

Hi All. Its Roxio Creator 2009 Special Edition, version 1.1.110SP1. I've never had EMC 10 installed. Yes I do have the CPSCommonTools11.dll installed but, as I said in my post, it keeps saying that it cannot find the CPSCommonTools10.dll when I try to run the Drag and Drop Convert programme (all other programme elements work OK). I have looked on my system and this "10" file is missing.
