Mpeg Conversion For Iphone

I recently purchased Toast 9 Titanium and successfully upgraded to 9.0.4. I have a MPEG movie (MOV01156.MPG) made on a Sony CyberShot that I want to convert to a movie to see in iTunes. After several unsuccessful attempts using various approaches, I'm up for some expert advice. Thanks for any help in advance.

What went wrong when you used the Toast Convert window and the iPhone export setting? Also, please describe the specs that Toast shows for the .mpg video file.

I can convert it to video: H.264/AVC, 480 x 360 and it will play in iTunes. When I try to drag it from the movies library to the iPhone, I have a message saying that it "was not copied because it cannot be played on this iPhone".

Problem Semi-Solved.

 

The video is on the 3G iPhone, but without any audio. The first problem was corrected by having iTunes convert it to iPhone format, but this left off the audio. What to do now?
